Turkish Business Journal aims to contribute to the social sciences field by publishing scientific studies in Turkish, English and other languages in national level. Studies to be published are analyzed by journal publication principles (percentage of plagiarism, refereeing process time , etc.).

Turkish Business Journal publishes studies like articles, case studies, critiques, book critiques in the fields of Management, Economics, Finance, Fiscal Policy and Public Administration, International Relations twice a year.

Headline should be written with Times New Roman font size 12, bold, upper case. Title should be written with 1,5 spacing and Before: 0 nk - After: 6 nk.
English headline should be written under the original headline with the same specifications stated above except English title should be non-bold.
Names of the authors should be written one under the other right aligned under English headline. Spacing between the names of the authors should be single and after: 6 nk.
Following the names there should be the summary of the study under the headline Öz. The headline Öz should be written bold, italic and with font size 11. The summary here should be written with font size 10 and italic. First line of the paragraph should not be indented and it should be written with 1,5 spacing and Before: 0 nk - After: 6 nk.
Key Words and Jel Codes should be under the summary and they should be written in the same way with the summary.
Following headline should be the Abstract. The title Abstract should be written bold, italic with font size 11. The summary of the text under the title Öz in English should be written here italic and with font size 10. It should also be written with 1,5 spacing and Before: 0 nk - After: 6 nk. First line should not be indented.
Under the Abstract there should be Key Words and Jel Codes and they should be written the same way the Abstract should be written.
The headline INTRODUCTION should be written upper case, bold and with font size 11. The title INTRODUCTION should not be enumerated.
First Level Heading should be written bold, upper case and with font size 11. Headlines should be indented 1 cm in accordance with the paragraph and it should be aligned with the first line of the paragraph. If needed headlines can be enumerated.
Second and Third Level Headings should be written bold with font size 11 and the first letters of each word should be upper case. Second Level Heading should be non-italic and Third Level Heading should be italic.
Fourth and Fifth Level Headings should be non-bold and written with font size 11. The first letters of each word should be upper case and the rest lower case. Fourth Level Heading should be non-italic and Fifth Level Heading should be italic. However our journal does not offer usage of the Fifth Level and afterwards.Guidelines for the texts under the headlines are as follow:

Font character of the text should be Times New Roman and size 11. Paragraphs should be written with 1,5 spacing and Before: 0 nk - After: 6 nk. First line of the paragraph should be indented 1 cm and text should be justified. One space should be used between words and punctuation marks like dot and comma.
If used, tables and images should be named. Readers should be ensured to understand what is told with the tables and images.
Caution: Parts of tables and images should not be on different pages. If a table longer than one page is going to be used, it should be divided into two and both parts should be named.

Generally

As with all scientific processes, the publication process of the Turkish Business Journal is based on the impartiality and objectivity of information. This rule applies both at the stage of production of information and during the process of its publication. Since academic studies are prepared in the light of academic principles, each stage of them is evaluated in accordance with academic and ethical rules. JUL is committed to avoiding any ethical violations that may occur in publishing and we assure that publishing is carried out in accordance with international standards. In this case, all bodies of this process, publishers, editors, authors, referees and readers must comply with the ethical principles The international rules set by the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) apply to publications.
If situations such as manipulation, distortion and use of fabricated data used in articles are detected, the institution where the author of the article works will be notified of this by official means and the article will be rejected. Our journal has the right to request output files related to the analysis results from the authors according to the feedback given by the editors and/or the referees.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD

1. The Turkish Business Journal Editorial Board (Hereinafter, the “Editorial Board”) and the Editors/Deputy Editors are responsible for each article submitted to the Turkish Business Journal and even for all processes after its publication.
2. The Editorial Board ensures the determination and implementation of journal policies such as publication, blind refereeing, evaluation process, ethical principles.
3. The inclusion of the article in the peer review process by the Editorial Board does not mean a publication commitment. Even if the arbitration process for publication ends positively, the decision of the Editorial Board and the Editors / Deputy Editors is necessarily required.
4. The Editorial Board promotes academic integrity. The Editorial Board guarantees the authenticity of the written works by auditing these works through the iThenticate/Turnitin plagiarism prevention programs prior to publication.
5. The Editorial Board always reviews plagiarism and misconduct allegations related to published articles. For example, an author in the article he plagiarized it from other studies, no consent or approval is required in cases where the copyrighted material of third parties are used incomplete statement, withdraw the matter to the institution where the author works in the editorial board article, the department head, dean, and/or reporting to the relevant academic institutions, including reserves the right to perform various actions.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF EDITORS/ASSISTANT EDITORS

1. Editors/Deputy Editors of the Turkish Business Journal are responsible for taking measures related to intellectual property rights, unscientific-unethical behavior and plagiarism in the process of publishing articles and journals.
2. Editors /Assistant editors, when making positive or negative decisions about articles, take into account the original value of the articles, their contribution to the field, the validity and reliability of the research method, the clarity of the narrative and the purpose and scope of the journal.
3. Editors/Assistant editors apply the policies of blind refereeing and evaluation process, keep the credentials of referees and authors confidential from each other in the evaluation process, and ensure that each article is evaluated impartially and within the period. They carry out correction of errors, inconsistencies or misdirections in articles.
4. The Editors /Assistant Editors ensure the protection of personal data within the scope of the publication principles and ethical principles of the journal.
5. Editors / Assistant editors take care of the protection of human and animal rights in articles, they care about the certification of the explicit approval of the participants who are the subject of the study in the article, they reject the article when there is no approval of the ethics committee in experimental research or survey studies.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF REFEREES

1. The opinions of the referees take precedence in deciding by the Editorial Board whether the article submitted to the Turkish Business Journal should be published or not.
2. Referees should evaluate the work fairly and impartially, observing the two-way blind arbitration procedure.
3. Referees must comply with the principle of confidentiality, they are obliged not to use the information obtained from the arbitration process for their personal benefit; they should not share their reports or information about the article with others.
4. Referee evaluations should be objective and constructive. The academic proficiency of the article should be taken as a basis. Criticism of the authors' personalities is not considered appropriate. Referees should provide explanations and arguments to support their evaluations in the peer review reports submitted by the journal's editorial office. Editors/Assistant Editors do not evaluate biased and personalized reviews and unsubstantiated approvals and rejections, and they re-designate referees for articles in this situation.
5. Referees should not agree to evaluate articles that may result in personal or corporate conflicts of interest.
6. The referees should inform the journal editorial office of any actual or possible case of plagiarism, multiple publication or simultaneous application, if they determine it.
7. Referees should make the evaluation in impartiality and confidentiality. According to this principle, they should destroy the articles they are reviewing after the evaluation process. Nationality, gender, religious beliefs, political views and commercial concerns should not impair the academic impartiality of the assessment.
8. Referees should evaluate the article they have accepted for evaluation within the period. In order to increase the academic quality of the article, the corrections suggestions of the referees are forwarded to the authors and, if requested by the referees, the corrections made by the author are forwarded to the referee.


AUTHOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES

1. The texts/works submitted to the Turkish Business Journal should not contain plagiarism and should be original. Responsibility in this regard lies entirely with the authors.
2. Plagiarism of any kind is a very serious ethical problem, including irregular transfers made by the author from his own publications. The evaluation process of articles found to contain plagiarism is stopped. If plagiarism is detected after publication, the Editors and assistant Editors take appropriate measures.
3. The author has the right to withdraw his article provided that he notifies the editorial board of the journal until the publication decision is made.
4. Authors should not use language that discriminates against belonging and identities such as gender, race, language, faith, culture, class, age, opinion, group and sexual orientation.
5. Studies/articles should not violate the privacy and intellectual property rights of a third party.
6. The authors are obliged to indicate all persons who have a stake in their work. They should indicate people who have a significant share in their work as co-authors. A work cannot be published without the consent of all its authors.
7. The names of the people who did not contribute to the article should not be written as the author. For an article that has been submitted for publication, it is not recommended to change the order of the author, remove the author, add the author.
8. The authors should indicate this if an old version of the study/text has been published in another medium. If the work was compiled from a dissertation, even if it was not published, or from an unpublished presentation of a scientific meeting, it should be indicated as a footnote on the first page.
9. The authors are responsible for acting in accordance with the principles of the current copyright law.
10. If the authors are asked for information or data related to their articles during the evaluation process, they should submit the requested information to the journal editor.
11. The authors are responsible for fulfilling the correction recommendations of the reviewers and Editors/Deputy Editors. If he disagrees with the recommendations of the referees or Editors/Assistant Editors, the author has the right to notify the journal's editorial office of this situation together with his justification.
12. The authors should submit their transactions for peer review proposals to the journal editor by processing them in the report sent by the journal editor.
13. All authors should disclose any financial and other conflicts of interest in their research articles that are considered to affect the results or interpretation of that article. All sources of financial support received for the study should be clearly indicated.
14. An author, when he discovers a serious error or inaccuracy in a published article, should inform the journal editor about it without delay. In this case, the author is responsible for withdrawing his article or cooperating with the editorial board of the journal in publishing a correction to the article.
15. For research conducted and for clinical and experimental studies on humans and animals that require an ethics committee decision, separate ethics committee approval must be obtained, this approval must be specified and documented in the article.


NOTIFICATION OF A SITUATION THAT DOES NOT COMPLY WITH ETHICAL PRINCIPLES TO THE EDITOR
